💚 DONATIONS NEEDED: Support Erika’s Lighthouse! 💚
Erika’s Lighthouse is a student-led club at Hobbs Middle, supervised by our 7th and 8th grade counselor, Ms. Hodge. Students work together to promote kindness, connection, inclusion, and a positive school culture through schoolwide activities and events.
We need your help to make these activities possible! Donations help provide supplies for kindness campaigns, bulletin boards, ice cream socials, student recognition prizes, and other activities throughout the year.
Every donation - large or small - helps our students make Hobbs Middle a more positive and welcoming place.
Donations are being accepted here: https://www.myschoolbucks.com/ver2/prdembd?ref=ZZHW3OJWSY0456G_ZZ6CIPSV8PLI3IV.
Thank you!

We had so much fun celebrating our amazing students who made positive choices and did not receive any referrals during the month of September! 💚👏
Our PBIS Fun Lunch was a special way to recognize students for showing responsibility, respect, kindness, and making great choices throughout the month. 🌟
And don’t forget about our PBIS Fun Wheel! 🎡 When students demonstrate good behavior and make positive choices, their names can be entered for a chance to spin the wheel and win some awesome prizes! 🎁✨
We are especially proud to share that 87% of our students have had ZERO referrals so far this school year! 🎉 If that many students can go through school without getting in trouble, so can your child. We believe every student can do it! 💪💚
Let’s keep celebrating those good choices, encouraging one another, and showing what it means to be a positive member of our school community!
Good choices really do pay off! 🙌🌟
What an exciting afternoon at the King Middle School Cross-Country Meet yesterday! Congratulations to every Hobbs runner who showed up, gave it their all, and represented our school with pride. We’re so proud of the hard work and team spirit on display!
A special shout-out to our boys for taking the top three spots again:
🥇 Luke L.
🥈 Daniel L.
🥉 Cason M.
What an incredible repeat achievement! Go Hobbs!

Good morning, Jaguar parents and families,
This is Brandon Koger, principal of Hobbs Middle School, with an important message regarding our Title I program.
Each year, the school district asks parents and families to provide feedback on the Title I program through an annual survey. The results from this year’s Survey A are now available for your review.
As you look over the results, I welcome any additional feedback or questions you may have about our Title I program. Please feel free to reach out to me directly.
Thank you in advance for your continued support and involvement in our school community.
Warm regards,
Brandon Koger
Principal, Hobbs Middle School

It’s time to celebrate some of the amazing staff members who make a difference in the lives of our students and families every day! 💚💛

🗳️ Voting will remain open through close of business on October 5.

Thank you for helping us recognize and celebrate the incredible people who make our school community so special! 💚💛
We’re asking every Hobbs Middle School family to take just a few minutes to download the Box Tops for Education app and select R Hobbs Middle School as your school.
This is one of the easiest ways you can help support our Jaguars — and it doesn’t cost you anything extra! Simply scan your eligible receipts in the Box Tops app, and those everyday purchases can turn into money for our school.
Every dollar we raise through Box Tops will go directly back to our students and staff through recognition and appreciation efforts throughout the year. These funds will help us celebrate student achievements, recognize outstanding staff members, and support special events that make Hobbs a great place to learn and work.
Please take a few minutes to sign up, choose R Hobbs Middle School, and start scanning your receipts.
Thank you for supporting our students, our staff, and Hobbs Middle School! 💚💛

Big congratulations to Luke Lomoriello on being featured by Florida MileSplit as a Future Star! 🏃♂️💨
The Hobbs Middle School 8th-grader is off to an incredible start this cross country season, with two wins, one runner-up finish, and a huge new 3K PR of 9:42.60! ⏱️
At the Gulf Coast Stampede, Luke successfully defended his title while dropping an incredible 51 seconds from his winning time at the same meet last year. Even more impressive, he shattered his previous PR by more than 28 seconds to break the 10-minute barrier for the first time. 🔥
The hard work is showing, and there’s still plenty of season left! We’re excited to see what’s next for this young runner. 💪🏽🏆
👏 Way to go, Luke! Keep chasing those goals!

From the EDSITEment website (edsitement.neh.gov):
September 17th is Constitution Day, commemorating the day in 1787 when, at the end of a long hot summer of discussion, debate and deliberation, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed America’s most important document. George Washington, on behalf of the Convention, transmitted the proposed Constitution to the Congress assembled under the Articles of Confederation. Eleven days later, the Congress by unanimous resolution passed the proposal on to conventions of delegates to be chosen in each state. It was in these state conventions that the Constitution was thoroughly discussed, debated and eventually ratified.
The United States Constitution is the oldest written national constitution still in operation, and many of the nations that have established themselves in the centuries since have turned to this document as a model for their own constitutions. As a document that defines the structure of our federal government and delineates the rights of the states within the union, and of individual citizens within the nation, the Constitution has become a symbol to Americans and to the world of our political principles and the democratic way of life that flows from them.
